The very well balanced Viper II rods are a perfect rod for the fisherman that is in demand of delicate yet tuff "fishing tool".
We have build this series based on our
immensely popular Viper series, that was a series of 8' rods made
especially for Pike fishing. These rods is also to find in the updated
Viper II series.
The action is fast which gives you a
tremendous line speed. We have added extra power lower in the blank
which will easily produce the power needed for the extra long casting
often needed in especially coastal saltwater fishing or when tossing big
predator flies.
We have designed the Viper II rods
using Advanced Helical Taper, which assures the rod is a great fishing
tool, not only as "stiff" casting tool. It is a joy to fish, cast and
play fish on.
The Viper II series of rods is very versatile and build to meet the needs from dedicated fishermen.
You find light line rods in # 3 and 4
for the trout and grayling fisherman - among them a 10' # 3 made
especially for long rod nymphing (czech nymph). Awesome light rods with
superb feeling and line control.
You find a range of perfect rods for
trout, rainbows and coastal seatrout in the 5, 6 and 7 weight models.
These powerhouse rods can really push some line out, but is still
delicate when you need to use smaller flies or subtle presentations.
You will also find the super popular # 8
and 9 rods in 8' for the Bass and Pike plus a 9' # 9 bass/Pike rod.
When the needs are to cast big and bulky flies as easy as possible, just
choose the # 8 and 9 rods, which has a lot of power in the bottom of
the rod to battle the big ones. At the same time the rod should be as
light as possible, as tossing big flies all day can be hard work and
these rods are built with AHT (Advanced Helical Taper) and SBD (Slim Blank Design) and by using these technologies you get just what you need.
If you fish for Species like Pike, Bass
or mid size tropic species then have a look at the 8' models. Keeping
the rods at 8' will increase the power per cm of the rod, and at the
same time lower the weight. Try it and you will immediately see why so
many saltwater and pike fishermen are turning to the 8' rods....
The blank is made with 40 ton high pressure UD Graphite (unidirectional carbon fibers).
The Viper II are all 4 pcs rods in a
beautiful deep green color with metallic green and gold trimmings, and
build with top quality fittings like oversized quality guides and PacBay
Minima shooting guides.
Cork is Topline 4 AAAA grade Portuguese cork.
